PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Following three weeks of rest, the Providence Grays vintage base ball club returns to the field with a pair of home games against the Hingham Base Ball Club on Saturday, May 26, at Pierce Field in East Providence with first-pitch set for 11 a.m.

Last time out, Providence swept the second day of the Atlantic Festival (May 5-6) in Smithtown, New York, as they downed the Monmouth Furnace Base Ball Club and the Dirigo Base Ball Club of Maine in a pair of double-digit victories. The Grays finished 3-1 on the weekend and enter Saturday's match-up riding a two-game win streak.

The Grays are 5-1 thus far for one of the most impressive six-game starts to a season in recent history. Previously, they swept the Boston Beaneaters in two hard-fought, season-opening tilts (Apr. 28) and won three of their four outings at the Atlantic Festival. Providence is also currently 2-1 in Mid-Atlantic Vintage Base Ball League play, placing them in a tie for fourth place (according to league website).

The address for Pierce Field is 201 Mercer Street, East Providence, R.I. and, once again, start time is set for 11 a.m. Stay tuned to the Providence Grays Facebook page and Providence Grays News for results and coverage.
